青木原樹海，位於日本富士山的西北方原始森林帶，由於當地仍存有許多原始地形及生態環境，因此並沒有被過度開發。

可是，樹海除了因其極高的環保價值而聞名外，另一原因，就是每年有不少人會走進樹海中輕生。自殺的人數之多，使日本當局得定期派人到樹海中搜集屍體，不少靈異怪事亦因而流傳開來。

故此，青木原樹海，也稱作「自殺森林」。

從遠處看去，那一望無際的幽深墨綠，飄散著神秘氣息，教人不其然覺得心寒。

這天，天際剛吐白，便有一人走進樹海中，想要自尋短見。

身材肥胖的鈴木直人笨拙地從地上爬起來，口中連聲咒罵，用力踢向剛才把他絆倒的樹根想要出氣， 卻反踢得腳尖一陣劇痛。
