驅屍人的家位於山谷附近一小部落中，吉普車駛去片刻即至。

由於此處屬於沙漠深處，人跡罕至，所謂部落也不過是由百來人和少量草屋組成。

「你們在這兒等我們吧。」

為免驚動他人，我把吉普車停泊在部落遠外，背負用麻布包裹的豹屍，只帶上子誠進村。

部落裡的人，除了小孩，全都穿上包裹整個身體的黑袍，只露出一雙眼睛。他們見到我們，沒有絲毫訝異，只冷冷的點點頭，便繼續自己幹活。

「他們對外人都很冷漠呢。」子誠在我旁邊小聲說道。

「這族人世代在這沙漠深處獨立而居，幾乎與世隔絕，因此對外來人態度極為冰冷。」我解釋道。我來過這部落數次，也不以為然，笑了笑打個招呼後，便跟子誠走到部落盡頭，那座最大的草屋。

草屋由黃藤野草築成，看上去殘殘舊舊，甚為簡陋。
